We watched Starsky and Hutch the other night, which wasn't as terrible as I had heard, though it wasn't as gay as the original, sad to say. I think my favourite part was actually on the blooper reel, in which the police lieutenant had to extol, over and over again in take after take, the special qualities of shetland ponies... picture tough-guy cop with raspy voice saying vehemently "Shetland ponies are magical creatures to little girls... don't you know that the Shetland pony is a special creature, particularly for little girls... The shetland pony is a magical little creature... Shetland ponies are special creatures, magical to little girls... the Shetland pony... The magical Shetland pony is a special creature to little girls..."
Miss M and I were reduced to hysterics.
My first day back at work was loathesome. And there were no ponies. I really need to start seriously, systematically looking for a new job.
