2004-09-26 - 9:40 p.m. Birthdays come thick and fast this time of year in my family. Which makes me think that we must have a genetic predisposition to find January an aphrodisiac. We were out for one of the many birthday dinners tonight at a restuarant where the single vegetarian entree on the menu turned out to be cooked in peanut-oil, which meant that after dinner we had to take my poor sister out for something to eat... thoughe ven my poor sister doesn't have it as hard as a friend of my aunt's who was diabetic, lactose intolerant, and celiac. Today on the Queen streetcar I saw a woman with a pink-dyed poodle and another who was wearing a single elegant kid-glove on one hand. These are the things I love about living where I do.
